Nicolas Courty is currently a Full Professor in computer science at University of Bretagne Sud and a research at the OBELIX group (IRISA laboratory from University of Bretagne-Sud). He received his PhD degree in 2002, at IRISA, under the direction of Bruno Arnaldi. Dr. Courty was one of the recipient of the U.V. Helava ISPRS Award for the 2012–2015 period.
His research interests include data analysis/synthesis schemes, machine learning and visualization problems, with applications in computer vision, remote sensing and computer graphics.
At VISUM 2020, Professor Dr. Nicolas Courty will speak on “Optimal Transport in Computer Vision”.
